The Index

The Index is one of the Antagonist factions on the City set of maps.

The Index is one of the Five Fingers, the five most powerful Syndicates in the City with enough influence to rival the Wings. Of the Fingers, they stand out for their fatalistic and dogmatic beliefs, centred around following mysterious, seemingly random tasks delivered to them known as the Prescripts. |

Major Tenants
The Index believes in the core tenant of Obedience. Those who receive a Prescript, are obligated to fulfil them, to fulfil the will of the city. Those who do not, shall face the punishment of the index and more so of the city.
Members of the Index-are chosen by the Prescript, they come from all-backgrounds, the Messenger receives their Prescripts via the Pneumatic Tube system, It is Unknown where this tube system goes, to all except the Prescripts themselves.
Note: The Messenger is the supreme authority, their word is law to the Index. Unless a Prescript contradicts them.
